Livermore Live Music is an organization that encourages the amazing live music scene in the Livermore area.
We operate the LivermoreLiveMusic.com web site, an aggregator for gig information. Livermore residents and visitors use the site to quickly get the "who, when and where" of the wonderful variety of live music at venues in the Livermore area, from small to large, in all musical styles.
The Livermore area has a vibrant and growing live music scene that includes
These performances are open to the public. Most are free, although some require tickets and some venues may have a cover charge. SEE ALSO links on the LLM web site let you know which performances may not be free.
We hope so!
The information in LLM is entered by "curators" who regularly review web sites and social media for relevant gig information. The gig has to be listed on a band or venue web site, or in their social media posts, in order to be noticed by a curator! It is possible they may miss something from time to time.
If you know of a particular gig that appears to be missing, please send us an email and we'll take care of it. You can also use the Gig form to let us know about any coming gigs we may have missed.
Short answer: nope, you are all set.
The LLM curators regularly check web sites, Facebook and other resources for gigs, trying to make sure the database is current and comprehensive. If your Livermore-area band or venue already puts gig information on your own site, chances are we noticed it and added you and your gigs to LLM. You do not have to do anything else. Just keep doing what you're doing—keeping your gig information up to date on your own site, or Facebook—and LLM will do its best to handle everything else.
By the way, thank you for contributing to our incredible live music scene!
There are some criteria for having your contact information included in the LLM database. The site is about live music in the Livermore area. If your band does not regularly perform at publicly-available venues in this area, you won't be included among LLM's Bands. However, you will still find that when your band does perform at a Livermore-area venue, your band name will be in the gigs as advertised on that venue's web site.
The site is about live music at publicly available venues in the Livermore area.
When you list gigs (e.g., by Band, by Venue, by Date) the information spans the current date to one year forward by default. For example, if your band played a Livermore gig last week, that would not be listed by default.
Yes (see below).
If you know about an upcoming gig, the simplest thing is to use the Gig form. There, you fill in the gig information (band, venue, date and time, etc.) That will be sent to an LLM curator, who will review it and enter the appropriate information into the database.
Note: If you are an individual that regularly books the gigs for a venue or for a band, you can get a login that allows you to put gigs directly into the database. Contact the system administrator to request a login account.
If you update your web site accordingly, the LLM curators will try to notice the change and update the corresponding information on the LLM site.
However, we do not do curation every day, and honestly that sort of change on your web site is easy for us to miss, especially if it's on short notice.
If you are a band and you cancel a gig, or if you are a venue and you get a cancellation (and possibly find a substitute), it would be great if you would let us know. Send us an email to let us know about the change. That way, nobody will show up on a given day to hear a certain band play at a particular venue, and be disappointed they are not there that day.
Nope.
Sorry, we don't mean to sound harsh. But the audience for LLM is Livermore folks and visitors, looking for live music performances at publicly-accessible venues in the Livermore area. All due respect to your Mom.
Absolutely.
